LABAN LEAD is a new program for leadership development that aims to integrate
your verbal and non-verbal behavior, analyzing and enhancing your movement style, making you aware of how you see yourself
and the way others see you, and how this impacts your relationships, and ultimately freeing you to move beyond any professional
limitations you may think you have.
LABAN LEAD's philosophy is based
on the vitality of movement and is fueled by shared power and community building. It assumes that everyone has leadership
qualities that can be pooled and drawn upon as needed, when working with others on common issues. No other approach addresses
self-awareness, personal style, and relationships with peers and audience in such detail.
LABAN LEAD has its theoretical foundation in
Laban Movement Analysis – LMA, which can be defined as the DNA code of human behavior. This complex system,
developed by Rudolf Laban in the first half of the XX Century, detaches and articulates the movement elements and factors
in all human actions, therefore making possible the experience, analysis and improvement of individuals styles and interactions.
LABAN Lead includes but is not restricted by body-language awareness. It includes the experience and observation of your speaking
rhythms and the way you integrate movement in your speech.
LABAN LEAD helps new leaders to shape and put forward their vision; to trust
adequate team-leaders to implement them; to clearly communicate ideas and inspire committed action; to perceive opportunities
for constructing alliances; to be self-confident in order to encourage and appreciate the rising of other leaders; to understand
individual as well as group dynamics; to know how to avoid useless and disruptive conflict, while dealing with the ones that
lead to growth; and, above all, to free the new leaders’ imagination and enhance their capacity to construct new realities,
thus ensuring that new futures are created as rapidly and efficiently as the external markets evolve.
